Back
Palming a Card
If
you are using regular playing cards, you will need to use a brand
which has no borders on the back and has a color which will blend
in with your skin to prevent flashing. When the card is ready
for back palming it is held between the middle finger and the
thumb. To vanish the card, the pinkie and pointer finger grip
the card on the sides, the middle and ring fingers then straighten
out putting the card in a position behind the hand. To make the
card appear you simply reverse the process. One thing to remember
is that your hand must always be in motion to prevent the tips
of the card from flashing.

The
Card Pivot
By
now you should be able to perform the "back palm" with
ease. The card is vanished and placed into back palm position,
the hand turns over and at the same time the fingers bend forward
as if you were producing the card. The thumb assists in pulling
the card around to the front while the fingers straighten back
out and the card is clipped between the index and pinkie finger
(kind of like a front palm). By this time, the hand is completely
turned over showing that there is no card on the back of your
hand. The hand is then turned over and the process is reversed.
The middle and ring finger bend down and go behind the card while
the remaining fingers clip the edges (as if you were back palming
it) Then the card is placed back in back palm position and the
front of the hand is shown empty.
Note: this is going to take practice to get the positions right
when you turn your hand over so that you do not flash the card.
Once you master this it will be a great addition to your routine
but make sure that you do not do his sleight over and over again
because if it is repeated right after over and over you will eventually
flash.

Multiple
Vanish
Start
off with 3 or 4 cards in your left hand. Take one card and place
it in your right hand, ready to be placed into back palm position.
Vanish the first card and then bring your hand forward and grab
a second card. Wave your hand up and down as if you were going
to throw the card in the air but as you do this, you are going
to bring the card which is in back palm position forward and align
it with the second card. So at this point you have two cards but
the audience thinks you only have one card since the other is
hidden behind the front card. Next vanish the two cards as one
and then repeat this process with the rest of the cards.

Perfect
Production
Begin
with a few cards in your palm, face up and the edge of the cards
should be aligned with your middle finger so that your index finger
is free. Your thumb now pushes off the top card a little as your
index finger clips the card and moves it into a vertical position.
And that's the basic move! The rest is simply mastering the angles
of this move, which can be a little complicated at times but once
you get the hang of it, you will do fine.
