Twisting Arm Illusion
REQUIREMENTS: A sweater with long-sleeved
The Effect: This mind boggling illusion created a sensation on a recent national TV special. This totally impromptu routine is easy to do and uses no props. You ask a spectator to copy your actions. Both of you place your hands palm down on the table and begin to turn them in a clockwise direction. The spectator is unable to turn his hand more than part way, but you continue turning your hand in a full circle! One and a half times! This routine must be seen to be believed. On many occasions, people have been so shocked - they have actually screamed!
 

1- First, put on the sweater.

 

2- Ask a friend to do the same thing you are doing. (Note: those pictures were taken showing the arm, but with the real trick YOU CAN'T show your friend your arm). Ok, They will put the hand like the picture below.

3- Those pictures below are the movement for the trick part.(Note: those movements below have to be done fast).

4- Now, you have to turn your hand clockwise.

5- Now, All you have to do is ask your friend to turn his hand unclockwise. He will only be able to twist a little bit, but you will turn a full loop.

Right-handed section

Effect :

You ask a spectator to copy your actions, both of you place your right hand down on the floor and begin to turn them in a clockwise direction. The spectator is unable to his hand more than part way, but you continue turning you hand in a full circle. One and a half times

Secret Preparation : You will need a long sleeve shirt, you have to wear a long sleeve shirt otherwise the spectator will see how the trick was done.

Step 1 : (Secret Setup)

Place the palm of your right hand face down on the floor with your fingers pointing towards your body

Step 2 : (Secret Setup)

You now have you twist your right-hand round so your fingers face in the "west" ( <----- ) direction.

Step 3:

Step 1 & Step 2 tells you how to setup the position of you hand. To perform this trick on a spectator you have to make sure that you can setup you hand up in this position very quickly and easily.

Step 4 :

Ask the spectator to place his right-hand face down with his fingers pointing in the "west" direction. As you tell the spectator to place there hand face down you can quickly set up your hand in the correct position explained in step 1 & 2.

Step 5 :

Ask the spectator to copy your actions, slowly move your hands clockwise round. As the spectator copies your actions they will stop at a point where they will find it impossible for them to move there arm round. At this point keep moving your hand round until you come full circle.

TIPS :

As you continue to turn your arm express some pain so it looks like it is actually hurting you as you turn your hand round.

For the left-handed person

Effect :

You ask a spectator to copy your actions, both of you place your left hand down on the floor and begin to turn them in a clockwise direction. The spectator is unable to his hand more than part way, but you continue turning you hand in a full circle. One and a half times

Ask the spectator to copy your actions, slowly move your hands clockwise round. As the spectator copies your actions they will stop at a point where they will find it impossible for them to move there arm round. At this point keep moving your hand round until you come full circle.

TIPS :
