Needle Through Balloon

The Effect: Blow up a party balloon and with a small pin, you puncture the balloon... the balloon does not pop!

The Preparation:

Blow up a round party balloon. It should be about 12" in diameter. Tie it off (yes, I know that's the hard part).

You also need a straight pin.

Method:

Take some clear tape (Scotch Brand,etc.) and on the side opposite the knot, place a small square of tape.

The Presentation:

Holding the balloon in one hand and the pin in the other push the pin into the balloon through the piece of tape. You will find that the balloon will not pop as the tape keeps the air in. You may want to find the longest type of pin you can, but make sure it's not too thick.
