Card Warp

Effect :

You have two playing cards and then fold them in half one lengthwise and one widthwise. You insert one into the other and push it through. It emerges from the other end, inside out! This effect is repeated to further confound your audience. At the the end the cards are ripped in half and dropped on a spectator's hand with each half of the card going a different way. Both cards can be examined.

Preparation:

Tear the card beforehand, as shown in the pic, from the center of one edge, to the middle. This tear will be concealed by handling it as shown below.

Presentation:

Display two cards,(one prepared beforehand, and a normal card.) Hand the spec. the normal card, and instruct them to fold it horizontally, and make a crease, as they do so, you tell them you will do the same to your card, but fold it vertically. Folded cards show below.

Now take the spectators card, and place it inside your gimmicked card, like pages of a book. The trick here is that you're not really putting it in as truthfully as you are, observe pics below.

Now that you have the cards in the spectators view above, open up these cards, like a book, to display the faces, shown below.

The rest of the trick is all simple now. Push the card at one end, at it will turn up face down on the other side. Play with this, and show off your own moves to display this miracle.

For the clean up of this effect, center the inside card, as best as possible, and tear down the center shown below. Place the cards on the table, and the spectators can inspect everything. All that they will find is half of a card face down, and the other half face up.
